Well its been an amazing journey so far...   Alaska, Vancouver, Pender Island, Vancouver, Jordan's Place outside Pemberton, Whistler, and now we are in Squamish for a couple of days.

This morning, we had a light breakfast of granola, fruit and yogurt.  Then off to the Squamish River to watch for Eagles.  Only saw one, very far away, but the morning was beautiful, sunny and warm so it was a treat to sit there meet people and learn about the area.  While reading the brochures, we saw an ad for a private flight over the area, including the mountains and thought that would be a nice treat on a sunny day.  So, off we went to the airport and hired the plane and took a flight to the top of the world.  Just the pilot (David) Sharon and I in a little 4 seater plane.  Guess who sat in the back....LOL  Great for photo taking, and hope you enjoy some of the shots.  (Make sure to click on them for larger version).

Before we flew, we ate lunch at a quaint place called "Fergies" and had a very nice meal and Chai Latte.  I have to admit being up and personal with the mountains is intimidating, but absolutely beautiful, getting that close to Heaven, and being able to come back to land.

After the first set of photos, if you scroll down there is a second set of photos to view at your leisure.

The Stawamus Chief commonly referred to as "The Chief" is one of the largest granite monoliths in the world.  If you look close you can see people on top of it when we flew by.  (Get out your magnifying glass...LOL)  After about 40 minutes of flying and a detailed understanding of the area from the pilot we were still flying high when we left the area and headed home to edit and view some of the photographs.  Then on to The Copper Coil Still and Grill, a neat Pub and Bar downtown in Squamish, where I had a Caesar and just about choked (Very Spicy-See Photos) its a good thing Sharon said go lite on the heat....Best 16 Hour Smoked Brisket I have ever eaten....Melted in your mouth, and the Corn Bread was delicious.  We then went to DQ for a small blizzard to top off the day, and cool off my mouth....

Tomorrow, we head for Vancouver, for more restaurants and visits with the boys, and friends in Delta.  Love driving this little Mercedes Bentz SUV, If I had Wayne\s money I would buy one in a heartbeat....LOL  Coming home on Monday, and I am ready for the rest, walk they said and I will be healthy, well I am here to tell you, its either healthy or dead........
